The Coefficient of Inbreeding (COI) is a numerical value calculated on common ancestors in a pedigree for percentages of matched identical genes in the gene pool from that common ancestor. The COI in the Parson & Jack Russell Terrier Archive is calculated for 10 generations by Breedmate's Pedigree Explorer using Wrights method. A COI of 25.0% is equivalent to a brother/sister, father/daughter, mother/son breeding. A COI of 12.5% is equivalent to a half-brother/half-sister, uncle/niece, aunt/nephew breeding.
If you want the COI calculated for a possible litter, send me an E-Mail ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) with the prospective sire and dam's names. I will email you the results.
